Dayle's Story
From 1972 until 1993, Dayle was employed by
the local telephone company. After being offered early retirement, she did
a lot of prayer and soul-searching to figure out what God wanted her to be
when she grew up. So at 39 years of age, Dayle followed a call she had felt
since childhood and started back to school . . . massage school.
Her initial training began in Louisville at
Stillpoint Wellness in 1993 followed by an additional 1,000-hour course in
therapeutic massage at the Health Enrichment center based in Lapeer,
Michigan. After graduation in 1995, she began picking up massage work where
it was available and doing whatever it took to get her name out in the
community. Some of her additional training includes Infant Massage, Russian
Medical massage, Healing Touch, Myofascial Release, Muscle Release Technique
(MRT) and continues to expand
the number of “tools in her toolbox.”
Dayle was unable to find a place to
practice which reflected her desire for a “safe and warm” environment for
her clients. She felt like a duck out of water so she created her own pond.
She opened Better Way Wellness in 1996. As her practice expanded, Dayle
offered space to other therapists and eventually had a bustling business on
her hands. But that wasn’t what Dayle was called to do and now is
retraining her energies back to a client-focused massage practice.
Dayle has earned her National Certification
in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and is licensed in the state of
Kentucky.
She leads volunteer massage teams for charity functions, especially Kicks
For Kids. See below for more information...
